Peter Pontidas is the Group Treasurer of Dentsu International one of the world’s largest media and
digital marketing communications groups employing 46,000 people and servicing 11,000 clients
across 143 markets. Peter leads a team of 14 treasury professionals based in London (with support
functions in Bangalore) who are responsible for all treasury related activities including liquidity and
funding, financial risk management (fx and interest rates), systems, policy, governance, and
compliance. Since joining Dentsu International in 2007, Peter has been actively involved in fund
raising, forming strategy and driving initiatives, and building relationships. Prior to this Peter spent
17 years in the “City”, 11 of which with Australia and New Zealand Banking Group Limited where he
was responsible for covering the Technology, Media and Telecoms activities for the bank across the
EMEA region. Prior to this Peter worked for Creditanstalt, London Branch heading up the Media and
Telecoms activities.
Peter grew up and studied in Australia and has a Bachelor of Commerce degree with Honours in
Finance from the University of New South Wales and is CPA Australia qualified.
Peter’s personal interests include sports activities such as snowboarding and general fitness,
travelling and spending time with his family.
